Goodguys Names the Fenderless '36 Its 2025 Street Rod of the Year

In July 2025, at the Goodguys 27th Summit Racing Nationals presented by PPG in Columbus, Ohio, the Goodguys Rod & Custom Association named Ross Myers' 1936 Ford roadster its 2025 Classic Instruments Street Rod of the Year.
Goodguys singled out what makes this build unusual. Most project cars start with a body or the rusty remains of one. This one didn't — the Rad Rides team scratch-built the body outright, reworking the form and proportions while keeping it unmistakably a '36 Ford. The coach-built body sits on a full custom chassis with torsion bar suspension, wishbone-style radius rods, a quick-change rear axle, and one-off machined wheels. The finish is a tailor-made Porsche green metallic, topped by a custom hand-formed lift-off top.

The car came together in just over two years.
Columbus in July is the biggest weekend on the Goodguys calendar, and taking the top street rod honor in front of that crowd is a particular kind of good day.
Our thanks to Goodguys, to Classic Instruments, and to everyone who has followed this build from the first concept sketch.
