August 8th - The Fastest “CUDA” on the Planet arrives for the second time to set a new record on the salt. Last year the “Blowfish” set a record of 255.5 mph in the Blown Fuel Competition Coupe, engine class F. Back on the salt at Bonneville after some tweaks and a bunch of power runs on the dyno the Blowfish” is making 20% more power than last year and running silky smooth. Our goal of 300 mph is looking good.

Arriving on the salt this year is already a lot different. First of all, its wet…the team had to cross a huge (but shallow) lake followed by several miles of slush to get to the pit area.

Once we arrived at our spot the team started to set up camp, to get ready for a week on the salt.

August 9th – Things are going well, as the car is unloaded, the pits set up and tech inspection is complete! Tech inspection went extremely smooth this year.

August 10th - Its Friday and the team is packing the parachutes, making final adjustments to the car, checking wheel lug torque, filling the fuel tank with ethanol and reviewing race strategy with George. The weather is beautiful and the track is drying up, which is great. By the end of today the team will place the car in line to wait to make its first run on the salt tommorrow.
